We are shortlisted for the 2022 CEE Deals of the Year Awards
The acquisition of part of Knight Frank’s business by Savills, on which we advised, has been nominated for this year’s CEE Deals of the Year Awards. And this means that the market already knows the strength of our team when it comes to M&A and real estate.
All three transactions we submitted qualified for CEE Legal Matters magazine’s largest and most significant deal in Central and Eastern Europe award. After the selection process, Savills’ acquisition of part of Knight Frank’s business, which included property management, has made it into the final round. The results of the ranking will be announced on 25 April.
Kochański & Partners among the advisors to the most important deals in CEE
Both Savills and Knight Frank are key players in the commercial property sector. As a result of the deal we handled, a group of Knight Frank specialists joined Savills and the latter’s property management portfolio surpassed 1.2 million sqm.
This was a challenging, complex and sensitive project, as it involved the acquisition of commercial properties and the merger of two separate teams. With this deal, Savills’ asset portfolio is now stronger and more-diversified. It includes office, retail, industrial and mixed-use building located in major cities across Poland.
We advised and supported Savills at every stage of this transaction: from carrying out the antitrust and tax reviews, through negotiating the documentation and developing the assimilation structure for the acquired Knight Frank property management team, to post-transaction support to ensure a smooth and seamless continuation of operations under the Savills brand.

CEE Deals of the Year Awards
The CEE Deals of the Year Awards ranking has been organised since 2017 by CEE Legal Matters – the leading source of news and information about the lawyers and legal industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
CEE Legal Matters honours significant deals, including financings and IPOs, as well as the lawyers and law firms who make them happen. The shortlists for each jurisdiction are based on the Country Selection Committees’ votes. For Poland, six deals will compete in the race for the 2022 CEE Deal of the Year Award. Among them is the K&P-led transaction between Savills and Knight Frank.
The winners will be selected by the Final Selection Committee and announced at the annual gala to be held on 25 April 2023 in Istanbul.
