We have supported ERGO Hestia in the certification process
ERGO Hestia is one of the largest players in the insurance sector, a leader in InsurTech and the creator of many innovative solutions. And since technology is in our law firm’s DNA, we recently supported our client in obtaining ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 information security certifications. This was not only an ambitious legal challenge, but above all an interesting and inspiring joint project.
ISO certification for ERGO Hestia
Cybersecurity and digital risks issues are now the absolute number one in all processes for any organisation. Companies that are aware of this are therefore keen to obtain documents confirming the quality of their services, and getting certification is the culmination of a whole chain of activities.
ISO certification is an internationally recognised confirmation of a mature security system and approach to protecting client data. The certifications just obtained by ERGO Hestia place it among Europe’s leading organisations.
“The awarding of ISO 27001 and 27017 certificates to ERGO Hestia is the result of work within our long-term strategy to build the maturity of our information security management system,” highlighted Damian Jagusz, Corporate IT Security Officer and Head of ERGO Hestia’s IT Security and Compliance Management Team.

Implementing new technologies always involves security issues. These certifications are an additional confirmation of the fact that we have ensured adequate protection for our clients. We take this as a commitment to further development.” – he added.
How to obtain ISO 27001 and 27017 certifications with Kochański & Partners
The team handling the project was led by Monika Maćkowska-Morytz, Partner in the Technology and Personal Data Practice.
“This was one of our most important projects implemented recently. The ISO 27001 and 27017 certifications are a confirmation of the maturity of ERGO Hestia’s security processes, which, with such a dynamic development of technology as we are witnessing, have the highest priority,” says Monika Maćkowska-Morytz.
