Aminata Traore – Michalak

Aminata specializes in commercial and civil law, including marketing, trade, e-commerce and distribution law. Her professional interests also comprise intellectual property law, in particular copyright law.

Aminata has been gathering professional experience in law firms since her third year of law school. Immediately prior to joining K&P, she worked for two years as an in-house lawyer at a venture capital fund, providing legal services to the fund and the entire group.

At K&P, she advises large and medium-sized businesses. During her first year with K&P, Aminata was part of the Commercial Law Practice and also supported Clients as an in-house lawyer. Since 2021, as a member of the Trade & Distribution Practice, she has supported Clients in drafting and negotiating commercial and distribution agreements. In this practice, Aminata also conducts due diligence investigations (review of commercial contracts), deals with consumer law matters (e.g. communication of advertisements and promotions by traders, drafting shop regulations and terms and conditions for electronic services, proceedings before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection – UOKiK and other authorities) and cases involving the combating of unfair competition (e.g. unfair competition acts such as those concerning advertisements).

Education: Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Law and Administration (Master of Law, 2018). Intellectual property and new media law (Bachelor’s degree, 2020).
