Wojciech has over 20 years’ experience in tax law. He specialises in VAT, customs duties and para-tax charges.
He supports clients in the implementation of effective tax solutions, advising, among others, on the optimisation of promotional programmes, supplier billing, e-invoicing, electronic reviews of VAT rates, and the settlement of commodity vouchers.
He has represented clients in many precedential proceedings before tax authorities, provincial administrative courts and the Supreme Administrative Court.
Wojciech has drafted numerous significant tax regulations. As Director of the Goods and Services Tax Department at the Ministry of Finance, he co-authored major VAT reforms such as the introduction of the split payment mechanism, the white list of taxpayers, the new rate matrix and general interpretations on the taxation of real estate transactions and due diligence guidelines.
He has also served as a judge of the Higher Disciplinary Court of the National Chamber of Tax Advisers, was a member of the State Examination Commission for Tax Advisers, and was appointed as a member of the supervisory boards of a number of companies.
He has been involved in pro bono initiatives for many NGOs including the Ronald McDonald Foundation, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Caritas, UNICEF, SOS Children’s Villages, and the WWF.
