The Foundation for the Fine Arts Kochański Knut has been in operation since February 2014. It was founded by Piotr Kochański and Tycjan Knut in order to develop the achievements of avant-garde artists that produced pieces during the 60s, 70s and 80s. The current enthusiasm for such art draws a great deal of interest from researchers, art historians as well as public institutions that display contemporary art. The Foundation supports artists that have developed original plastic art methods through abstract solutions and solutions saved in language of geometry. The development of such achievements is accomplished in two ways: through documentation and the exhibition of pieces, as well as treating artifacts with great care.
In addition to preserving pieces produced by historical avant-garde artists, the Foundation assists young creators, who through their own pieces, promote the idea of Polish scenes of geometric abstraction.
Moreover, the Foundation has undertaken residential, educational and publishing programs.
