Ukraine Post War Reconstruction

(Re) Build (New) Ukraine | We stand by you!

Since February 2022, Ukraine’s GDP has fallen by 40%. It is estimated that the total direct losses to small and medium-sized enterprises have already exceeded USD 80 billion. And yet Ukrainian business continues to thrive and grow.

Some 200,000 new companies have been registered since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Over 80% of businesses have resumed operations. More than 700 companies have been relocated to safer regions and the vast majority of them have already begun to operate normally. Factories are running at full steam, 24/7.

The whole democratic world has no doubt that Ukraine will win this war. This is why the idea of its post-war reconstruction is uniting and mobilising both people and businesses worldwide. This process is already underway, with tender processes being launched and discussions about plans, projects and the future going on.

Specific examples and related challenges were discussed today by Mariana Lutsyszyn, Gennadiy Radczenko, Taras Yurynts, Konstantin Magaletskyi, Janusz Władyczak, and Jakub Krysa.
