We’ve won our third consecutive EcoVadis silver medal – whilst improving our score every year
This is the fourth time we have been audited by EcoVadis, and the third consecutive year in which we have been awarded a silver medal. And what’s more, we once again improved our score, reaching 73 points and remaining among the top 15% of more than 150,000 companies worldwide. This achievement is a testament to the people behind it and the projects we pursue. Above all, though, it showcases our unwavering commitment to the philosophy of acting in a way that changes the world for the better.
EcoVadis: a tradition we are proud of
EcoVadis has established itself as one of the world’s leading benchmarks for corporate sustainability, and is widely relied upon by companies and their business partners alike.
Its standardised ESG rating makes it possible to compare organisations on a level playing field, regardless of sector, size or geography.
The assessment spans four areas – the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement – and its methodology is based on an analysis of policies, actions and measurable outcomes. In practice, this means that what counts is not merely what an organisation declares, but the concrete steps it has taken and the results it has achieved.
The significance of this ranking continues to grow. For many companies, the assessment result has become a key criterion when selecting counterparties and business partners, as well as being an integral part of supply chain risk management. This is all the more reason why our year-on-year improvement in score matters to us, as we continually raise the bar and broaden the scope of our ESG activities.
A busy twelve months for ESG
Over the past year, we have worked hard to strengthen our approach to sustainability, particularly around climate change.
We have measured our carbon footprint, enabling us to manage our emissions more effectively and plan their reduction.
We have also assessed the physical risks posed by climate change and analysed their potential impact on our operations and strategy. We now have a resilience and adaptation plan in place, setting out actions for the coming years and strengthening our preparedness for changing environmental conditions.
At the same time, we are making progress in the other areas covered by the EcoVadis assessment. We are:
- strengthening our ethical standards and compliance mechanisms
- developing our approach to responsible supply chain management
- enhancing the transparency of our social and organisational activities
- broadening our internal educational programmes for professional and personal development;
- strengthening our platform for integration, communication and mutual support
This work is ongoing and translates into the quality of our processes and the growing maturity of the organisation as a whole with regard to ESG.
