We have been shortlisted for the Women in Business Law EMEA ranking in the Law Firm of the Year – Poland category
We have been shortlisted for the “Law Firm of the Year – Poland” category in the Women in Business Law EMEA ranking organised by the Legal Benchmarking Group, for our diversity & inclusion projects and initiatives built by strong and courageous teams that change the world for the better.
The value of women in business
Diversity is power. Organisations that ensure parity achieve better business results, create stronger brands, communicate more effectively with the market and are quicker to move into untapped niches. They are more sensitive to social issues without compromising their business case. So it makes sense to ensure that there is room at the top for anyone, regardless of gender, who can combine professionalism with empathy and vision with precise execution.
We ourselves are a prime example of a firm that understands the value of diversity and consistently builds on it.
The fifty-fifty rule works in business
Fifty-six per cent of our lawyers are women. Women are slightly outnumbered among associates (52%), make up exactly half (50%) of our team leaders, and are 43% of equity partners. As a result, we have diverse perspectives and unique skills that enable us to look at challenges and opportunities from multiple angles at the same time.
But true diversity is not just about numbers, it is about having a real impact on the culture of an organisation. Piotr Kochański is well aware of this.
Being nominated for The Law Firm of the Year in the Women in Business Law EMEA competition is more than just a prestigious achievement for us. It is confirmation that our vision of a firm – one that is responsible, ethical and genuinely committed to self-reliance and initiative – really works and is recognised internationally. This is a huge tribute to the entire ESG team, their vision and consistency of action, and the incredible energy we all bring here every day. We are particularly pleased that what we are doing here in Poland is so positively resonating overseas, says our Managing Partner.
K&P Women’s Club – a talent forge and a source of power
However, we are not resting on our laurels and are constantly working to increase the power, role and empowerment of women.
This is why we have created our Women’s Club, a unique place born out of a genuine need to integrate and create a space for the development of the nearly one hundred fantastic female professionals who work at our firm.
This is where the magic happens…
- Knowledge, inspiration and development at your fingertips: Meetings, hands-on workshops, training sessions and expert presentations packed with practical skills – from personal branding in business, health and wellbeing, honing key soft skills and self-defence courses to our first ever mentoring programme. We learn from each other, share experiences and build relationships that really inspire and build confidence
- Honest conversations, real solutions – no beating around the bush: We have created a safe space where we can talk openly about what makes us happy, what challenges us, about our professional and personal ambitions and dreams, and what we really need to make them a reality
- The result? Measurable, but also amazing! The club is alive, vibrant and inspiring
It is we, the members of the Women’s Club, who give it its final shape by deciding what is most important to us. Sometimes it’s integration, sometimes it’s access to training and knowledge, or care for our wellbeing, but it’s always mutual support and a good dose of motivation. The Women’s Club is our internal driving force that allows us to look at our professional world from a new, female perspective, says Diana Tavera, initiator of the K&P Women’s Club.
