Our ESG Activities Featured in the ‘Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices’ 2025 Report
There’s is real value in sharing knowledge, showcasing examples of successful projects and the results they have yielded. This explains the enormous popularity of all initiatives that highlight specific projects, case studies and real-world examples. The most prominent of these is undoubtedly the ‘Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices’ report, a publication unique at the national level and highly regarded by businesses, civil society organisations, and the media alike.
It offers a comprehensive overview of corporate activities in the areas of ESG and sustainable development, compiled and assessed by experts from the Responsible Business Forum (Forum Odpowiedzialnego Biznesu). This year’s edition is now available, and once again our good practices have been included as examples worth following of responsible business conduct, visible at both governance level and in the day-to-day activities of our teams.
The ESG Committee at Kochański & Partners
The ESG Committee plays a pivotal role in our holistic approach to corporate social responsibility, assisting the Management Board in developing and structuring related initiatives.
The Committee brings together experts from a wide range of fields, including human rights, HR, resource management and technology. They are responsible for developing and implementing internal policies, initiating projects, and monitoring objectives and risks.
The results of their work are both tangible and visible:
- Further recognitions (including the EcoVadis Silver Medal, awarded to us for the third time)
- Dozens of ESG projects each year (nearly 50 in 2025)
- Growing employee engagement, with staff increasingly proposing their own initiatives (such as those within the Women’s Club)
Three flagship ESG projects at Kochański & Partners
Equally important are the initiatives that translate ESG into the team’s everyday experience. In our case, these are three recurring projects that have been featured in this year’s report.
‘Green Fridays’ – fresh, organic vegetables
Thanks to Piotr Kochański and the fresh, organic vegetables ripening in the gardens at Kępiaste, our Fridays are always green in summertime. This is now a long-standing and warmly cherished tradition, as well as a meaningful initiative promoting responsible consumption. It is also the best proof that raising environmental awareness can often be achieved through eating locally sourced food.
We believe that gathering around a shared table not only brings people together, but also inspires them to reduce food waste and make more mindful dietary choices.
Our Green Fridays are already delivering tangible results – growing interest in plant-based diets and increased staff involvement in environmental initiatives.
A home for a four-legged friend
The ‘From a Walk to Adoption’ project, carried out in partnership with the ‘Azyl pod Psim Aniołem’ animal shelter, combines education with volunteering.
Staff not only learn the principles of responsible pet adoption, but also spend time with the animals, supporting their wellbeing and increasing their chances of finding a permanent home. In the process, a culture of empathy and attentiveness to the needs of others is fostered.
Investing in people’s development
The Next Generation Lawyers programme helps young lawyers move beyond the traditional boundaries of the profession. It develops their leadership, business and communication skills and supports them in building personal brands and client relationships.
From the early stages of their careers, participants learn to act as strategic advisers rather than simply executing tasks – a shift that is gradually transforming the culture of the entire organisation.
Making the world a better place
As with the report as a whole, our activities have been mapped against the seven subject areas defined by ISO 26000, the international standard that sets out the principles of social responsibility for every organisation.
This gives the publication the potential to serve not merely as a review of good practices, but also as a practical guide for companies looking to develop their ESG activities in a structured and credible manner.
