DR MARCIN HUCZKOWSKI REINFORCES Kochanski & Partners NEW TECHNOLOGIES & TELECOMMUNICATIONS PRACTICE
In mid-July Dr Marcin Huczkowski joined Kochański & Partners, assuming the position of senior associate within the New Technologies and Telecommunications practice led by Paweł Gruszecki. Dr Huczkowski’s joining the Kochanski & Partners team is a natural consequence of the implementation of the next phase of Kochanski & Partners’s continuous development strategy, in particular concerning the Cracow office.
Dr Marcin Huczkowski, legal counselor, is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University, where in 2013 he received a doctoral degree in international copyright law. He has also studied at the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora and at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium (LL.M. in Intellectual Property), where he gained experience in European and international intellectual property law.
Dr Huczkowski has been dealing with intellectual property law and media law for more than 9 years. He also specializes in personal data protection issues, with a particular focus on the “implementation” of GDPR. In addition, he has extensive experience in providing legal advice to entities operating on the media market, including press and book publishers, television and film producers, cultural institutions and also companies operating in the IT/TMT sector. Within this area he is responsible for matters involving the implementation and provision of maintenance services for software/IT systems. Dr Huczkowski also works with the M&A team regarding due diligence and the preparation and provision of due diligence reports, particularly for media companies.
Before joining Kochanski & Partners, Marcin Huczkowski worked as a senior associate at SPCG T. Studnicki, K. Płeszka, Z. Ćwiąkalski, J. Górski law firm in Cracow and at WKB Wierciński, Kwieciński, Baehr law firm in Warsaw.
