British Capital Market at Your Fingertips

PRESS RELEASE

British Capital Market at Your Fingertips

Polish companies are known for their courage and determination in making strategic decisions to enter new markets and are increasingly eager to invest abroad.  But the main barrier to cross-border expansion is often simply the lack of capital. Currently, however, new opportunities for expansion are opening up for Polish companies thanks to their presence on international capital markets. Can we expect the first Polish unicorn to appear on the global market?

The dynamic development of Polish businesses in certain sectors (e.g. new technologies), is leading foreign capital markets to become increasingly accessible. London, hosting a significant portion of the world’s capital, remains one of the key points on the investment map of Europe. With the UK economy being one of the largest and most influential in the world, Polish companies are increasingly implementing ambitious development plans using financing from the London Stock Exchange.

– The UK continues to be a hub for capital markets and is also an excellent springboard for entering global markets such as the Middle East, the Far East and North America. For this reason, the upcoming meeting of our “Expansion of Polish Companies on International Capital Markets” series will be devoted to the opportunities offered by the UK market. – says Piotr Kochański, Senior Managing Partner at  Kochański & Partners.

The continued interest of London investors in foreign businesses opens up new opportunities for Polish companies. On the one hand the UK has created Europe’s first liberalised capital market, free of redundant regulations, and on the other, the London Stock Exchange has developed UnaVista Trade, a special platform in Amsterdam to handle European market transactions. The coming months will be crucial for the development of the UK capital market in terms of foreign debuts – forecasts Jarosław Grzywiński, Partner, Head of Capital Markets at Kochański & Partners. – This is not only an opportunity for the rapid development of individual Polish companies, but also an excellent chance to promote our economy abroad – adds Jarosław Grzywiński.

Kochański & Partners have consistently supported Polish companies in realising their business ambitions – both domestically and on a global scale. On 7 June 2021, Polish and foreign experts will participate in the “Reaching London Capital Markets” webinar organised by Kochański & Partners in cooperation with Pinsent Masons, the renowned UK law firm, and the London Stock Exchange. The speakers will discuss strategies for international expansion by CEE companies, regulatory and legal requirements for companies reaching the London capital markets, and the opportunities and challenges of cross-border financing.

The event is organised under the patronage of the British Embassy and the Business Centre Club, with Gazeta Parkiet, Rzeczpospolita daily and My Company magazine being the webinar’s media partners. The webinar will be in English.

Participation in the webinar is free of charge. The registration form can be found here.
