Konrad provides Banking and Finance legal advice to Polish and foreign entities: banks, corporate clients and financial institutions, working on both domestic and international transactions, including as lead counsel in cross-border financing. He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating loan agreements based on the LMA standard. Konrad has advised both banks and borrowers on numerous occasions starting from the structuring of debt financing, in particular in more uncommon and complex transactions. His experience includes, among others, corporate finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance and infrastructure finance, and also pre-court debt restructuring. Konrad also has extensive experience in advising on other banking products, such as factoring. He has worked on several securitisations and advised leading international investment banks on the enforceability of close-out netting agreements and collateral arrangements under ISDA and EFET documentation in Poland.

A separate significant area of Konrad’s practice is regulatory issues in financial services. His experience comprises advising (including representation before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority) on transactions in the banking market (including acquisitions and mergers of banks), and preparing numerous analyses and legal opinions on regulatory issues such as bank outsourcing, banking secrecy, financial intermediation, consumer credit, payment services, AML, or operations based on the single European passport.

Konrad has also advised on many high-profile transactions in the banking sector, such as the first cross-border bank merger involving a Polish bank, the first transformation of a branch of an EU credit institution into a local Polish bank, and also a voluntary liquidation of a bank.
