Jakub Jach

Jakub specializes in civil law disputes, in particular relating to the banking and financial sector, regarding claims arising from foreign currency loan agreements and foreign currency-indexed loan agreements.
He represented one of Poland’s largest commercial banks in civil disputes before courts of general jurisdiction and in proceedings before administrative courts.
Jakub also participated in developing the bank’s litigation strategy with regard to claims arising from foreign currency loan agreements, regarding remuneration for the use of capital due to a loan agreement being cancelled.
He also has expertise and experience in infrastructural disputes resulting from construction contracts, including those based on FIDIC contract forms, with respect to, inter alia, contractual penalties for renouncement of a construction contract, contractual penalties for delay, and indexation of a construction contractor’s remuneration due to an extraordinary change in relations.
Prior to joining Kochański & Partners, Jakub worked for the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland and Polish law firms.
