Kochański & Partners shortlisted for three Women in Business Law EMEA 2026 awards

Once again, we are among the best. This time, we have been shortlisted for the ‘Firm of the Year: Career Development – CEE’ and ‘Poland Firm of the Year’ awards at the Women in Business Law Awards EMEA 2026. We are a firm that sets the highest legal standards and creates innovative career paths. We develop our own potential while investing meaningfully in capable, talented and motivated lawyers. Furthermore, Agata Dziwisz-Moshe has been nominated for ‘Lawyer of the Year – Tax’. This triple nomination is a welcome reminder that what we do, how we work, and the direction we’re heading in matter – to us, our clients, our business partners, and everyone we work with.

Three nominations, one common thread

The ranking recognises the law firms that lead the way in ESG initiatives, professional development programmes, gender equality, and championing women in business. It also honours female lawyers and leaders for their accomplishments in specific practice areas and their social and business engagement.

This year, we are competing in three categories

  • Firm of the Year – Career Development CEE
  • Jurisdiction Awards – Poland Firm of the Year
  • EMEA Lawyer of the Year – Tax: Agata Dziwisz-Moshe

Career development? It’s not just a slogan. It’s our ecosystem

The Career Development category covers mentoring, coaching, talent management, recruitment and retention programmes, training initiatives and development and leadership programmes. In short, it encompasses everything we are passionate about and have been developing consistently for years.

Our system of development programmes stems from a well-thought-out strategy based on effective, measurable initiatives that have already benefited many people. These initiatives have helped both those just starting their professional careers and experienced professionals looking to develop faster and more meaningfully.

Mentoring Programme

This initiative is based on strong mentor-mentee relationships and is aimed at developing future management talent in a structured way, while ensuring the continuity of expert knowledge. The project focuses on nurturing talent and removing barriers to professional growth. It offers direct insight into top-level decision-making processes and involvement in key client strategies. Through close collaboration with mentors, mentees develop unique strategic advisory and networking skills, while mentors safeguard the firm’s intellectual legacy and hone their coaching abilities.

This succession system also drives promotions and internal mobility, firmly embedding lawyers in our values.

Next Generation Lawyers

This innovative educational concept and intensive development programme is designed for ambitious lawyers who wish to progress from technical practitioners to the business-oriented, conscious leaders of tomorrow. It focuses on developing soft skills, building strong personal brands, and cultivating unique expertise in areas such as strategic networking, modern business development, and effective client relationship management. It is a powerful catalyst for change, preparing young lawyers to become innovators and advisers who can effectively combine legal knowledge with market excellence.

K&P Women’s Club

This unique initiative, co-created by almost a hundred women, transforms the traditional workplace into a space that offers genuine support and development for female leaders. The programme takes a holistic approach, combining topics such as business charisma and social influence with open dialogue on the challenges of modern womanhood. These include the ‘Polish Mother’ stereotype and the burdens arising from the ‘second shift’.

Recognised in the ‘Responsible Business in Poland’ report, the Club redefines professionalism by focusing on empathy, mindfulness, and intergenerational exchange of experiences in an informal setting. This fosters a growing sense of community, which is our true advantage. The project operates on the principle of co-decision-making, giving women real influence over what happens within it. This makes them feel safe and gives them the courage, strength and sense of agency to build their professional future.

Poland Firm of the Year – figures that speak for themselves

Being nominated for the Poland Firm of the Year award recognises our impact on the market, the innovative nature of our projects and initiatives, and our commitment to gender balance at all levels of the organisation. This is particularly evident in the strategic decision-making process.

Women make up 56% of our team. They account for 52% of our associates, while managerial roles are split 50/50 between men and women. Among our equity partners, 43% are women. True diversity is embedded in the culture we build every day, ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender or position, has a voice and real influence.

Everyone who works here can see that there are no ‘glass ceilings’.

“Our nomination in the Poland Firm of the Year category confirms that our vision for the firm – to be responsible and ethical, and to genuinely foster the self-reliance and initiative of every team member – is recognised internationally. We are particularly pleased that our work in Poland receives such positive feedback around the world,” says Piotr Kochański, Managing Partner Zarządzający.

Agata Dziwisz-Moshe, Lawyer of the Year – Tax

The Lawyer of the Year award is granted in recognition of the nominee’s role in the cases and transactions she has handled, and her influence in a specific area of law. The selection process considers hard data, professional accomplishments, thought leadership, and genuine impact on changes within the organisation and the business community.

Agata Dziwisz-Moshe, Partner and Head of Tax, meets all of these criteria. And there is nothing coincidental about it.

Agata has recently successfully concluded several major tax proceedings and authored four deregulation proposals submitted to the Ministry of Finance, all of which have already been reflected in draft amendments to tax legislation. She also runs webinars and training sessions, develops new services within her practice and, last year, collected the Tax Litigation Law Firm of the Year award from International Tax Review in London.

We’ve (only) just passed the halfway point of the year
