Dominik Wojtas at the helm of the Media and Media Litigation Practice
At the beginning of October 2025, Dominik Wojtas was made Partner and assumed the role of Head of Media and Media Litigation. In his new role, he will work closely with Piotr Kochański, Head of the Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group and, as before, will support the handling of our clients’ court cases.
New energy, proven trust
Change always brings a burst of new energy. Dominik Wojtas has already made his mark, familiarised himself with all ongoing cases, and established strong relationships with clients.
Now is the perfect time to unleash the full potential of our new leader, who has already attracted new clients and announced the expansion of our activities in the media market. His team will consistently grow to respond more effectively to the challenges faced by the media, publishers and journalists.
When I look at Dominik, I see someone who combines professional maturity with tremendous energy. These qualities are invaluable nowadays. His appointment represents an evolution, not a revolution. In fact, we are reinforcing our long-standing leadership in this area and sending a clear signal to the market that our mission to defend free media and democratic values is continuing with even greater force. Handing the reins of the media practice to Dominik fits perfectly with our Litigation by Sectors strategy, in which in-depth sector knowledge is a major asset in court. I am confident that under his leadership, this team will spread its wings, says Piotr Kochański, Managing Partner.
A team that effectively defends freedom
Dominik Wojtas now leads a well-established team whose effectiveness has been recognised internationally on multiple occasions. Last year, we won the European Litigation Team of the Year award at the prestigious The Lawyer European Awards for our work defending journalists and freedom of speech in Poland.
This was the result of years of relentless effort, hundreds of successful cases, and an unwavering commitment to defending journalists and publishers against attempts to silence them and stifle public debate.
Our strength lies in our experience and synergy. Over the years, we have developed unique expertise that enables us to often obtain discontinuation of proceedings even before the first hearing. We have played a key role in establishing case law that has transformed the legal situation of internet portals in Poland. We stand behind our clients, giving them a sense of security and an ‘invisible shield’ that allows them to focus on what matters most: honest journalism.
Dominik is now the head of an award-winning and highly experienced team. And he is fully aware of this.
It is an honour for me, but above all it is a commitment to our clients and the values we uphold. The media world is not slowing down, and the pressure on freedom of speech is evolving. I want to continue what has worked so well and been so successful so far, while also adding my own value. I intend to proactively seek new solutions and build an even stronger position for our brand and the entire practice, says the new Head of Media and Media Litigation.
Confident in our present, looking to the future
We are ready for new challenges. Article after article, case after case. In a world where truth is under constant attack, someone has to stand up for it. That is our mission. And that is what we do best.
