GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW KZR&P OFFICE

We are pleased to announce that on 26 October 2011, in the courtyard of the Metropolitan building, an event took place on the occasion of moving the Warsaw office of our law firm, which has been operating on the Polish market for 12 years, from ul. Fredry 6 to the Metropolitan building. Our clients and friends of the firm were invited to the party.

However, for joy to be complete, one has to share it with others. That is why two charity projects became important parts of the event. For several years now our firm has been supporting the Janusz Korczak Children’s Home in Krasne in Białostockie voivodeship. This Home faces enormous financial difficulties and it is hard for them to meet the day-to-day needs of the children who live there. In agreement with the Director of this institution, Ms. Anna Zieniewicz, we have decided to fund a skiing trip during the winter holidays for all the children living in this Children’s Home. This endeavor was named “Winter camp for Name” because we bought up all the business cards our guests handed over at the event. In this way we collected part of the funds for this endeavor. To expand the “Winter camp for Name” action we will provide the remaining costs required to finance this winter trip for the children from the Children’s Home in Krasne. Thanks to a wonderful gesture from Mr. Maciej Zień, one of the guests at the party, a dress to be designed and sewn by Mr. Zień was auctioned. The funds from this particular auction will also be donated to the Children’s Home.

The second charity project which found support during that evening is the Sunny Academy Foundation managed by the artist, Ms. Bogna Czechowska. Our firm helped in establishing the Foundation and has supported its actions from the beginning of its existence. Bogna Czechowska’s Foundation is aimed at developing artistic talents among young patients of the oncological departments of several Polish hospitals. Pictures produced by the children, whose artistic level surprises and amazes, were auctioned for the Foundation. During this auction 13 pictures that will appear in the Sunny Academy Foundation’s calendar for 2012 were sold, followed by CDs of the jazz band “Niechęć” that played during the evening, and a photograph by Marta Rosolska.
