Work Department: Tax and Accounting.

Position: Tax Counselor, Certified Accountant, Senior Partner. Mr. Malec is head of the Tax and Accounting Department. He specializes in tax planning, issues of transfer pricing, tax analysis of business contracts, due diligence and tax issues relating to M&As and corporate restructurings. He has advised clients from the media, FMCG, pharmaceutical, R&D, automotive, construction, food, drugs and beverages, chemical, banking and finance investment sectors among others. Recently, while working for banks and financial institutions active in business and financial investment circuits in Poland, he has concentrated on adapting contracts used in everyday business operations (such as factoring agreements, franchising agreements and others) to international standards. Prior to joining the Firm, he held various executive board directorships with major Polish corporations and was co-owner of a tax advisory services company. With a distinguished academic career including a Post-Graduate Diploma in Community Law (The Warsaw Finance and Management School) and a PhD from Łódz University, he is the author of several books and has lectured and undertaken research at Białystok University.
