Position: Senior Associate. Ms. Mitas leads Firm’s Energy and Renewable Energy Law Practice providing comprehensive legal advice on any and all issues related to establishing and conducting the renewable and conventional energy investments including inter alia the wind farm, biogas as well as cole and coke plant investments. In particular, she advises clients in the process of due diligence audits, securing the land rights, obtaining grid connection conditions, negotiating the energy sale agreements as well as provides assistance within the scope of the environmental issues, including environmental pollution, the study of compliance with emission standards and applicable administrative procedures. She has a wide experience in relevant proceedings before Regional Energy/Grid Operators and the President of the Energy Regulatory Office concerning inter alia business licenses for power enterprises, as well as grid connection and energy sale issues. She also supports clients within the scope of the administrative proceedings related to the construction process of the wind farm and biogas investments. Ms. Mitas provides comprehensive legal assistance within Polish and EU competition law in matters concerning inter alia anti-competitive practices, mergers and acquisitions and product safety requirements. She is also experienced in conducting proceedings before the President of the Polish Office of Consumer and Competition Protection and the Consumer and Competition Protection Court. She has published several articles in leading publications such as E-Competition Bulletin, Gazeta Prawna and Rzeczpospolita among others.

Education: The Jagiellonian University of Kraków (Master of Law, 2007), Middlesex University London/UK (Business Law Module, 2006), Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (currently participating in PhD seminars on Renewable Energy Investment within the Competitive Energy Market). Recently given the opportunity to participate in the International Stage at the Paris Chamber of Advocates.
